The Joshua Tree Driving Painting Project

" At sunrise on Saturday, August 26th,
I put on a mountain climbing harness and secured myself to the roof
of my blue BMW.

For two and half hours I painted the desert landscape with oil paints
on linen panels, while a friend drove my car at speeds up to 70 miles
per hour on the highway, near Joshua Tree National Park."
